Oil Heat Cares Provides New Boiler to the Women & Family Life Center

Guilford, CT – In March, the Center received a new boiler thanks to East River Energy and the Oil Heat Cares Program. The existing boiler was very old and in desperate need of replacement, a very costly upgrade. A local family was prepared to generously donate their younger boiler to the center, but George McQueeney, the Operations/Service Manager at East River Energy, wanted to see if he could help WFLC obtain a new boiler through Oil Heat Cares, a not-for-profit Foundation started by the National Association of Oil Heating Managers (NAOHSM).

George's efforts were a success and in March it was out with the old and in with the new. Thanks to East River Energy's community commitment, WFLC now has a boiler that will last for years to come. Many Thanks to the staff at East River Energy for their support, especially George McQueeney and the wonderful service technicians who were a part of this project.
